Events
The Bearkat Course is proud to host numerous group fund raising and benefit golf events. Please feel free to contact us for planning your next golf event. Per player prices begin at $50 and include:
- 18 Hole Green Fee
- Golf Car Fee
- Pre-event Range Balls
- $5.00 gift certificate per event participant to be allocated by tournament organizer
- Professional services (scorecards, scoreboard, cart signs, rules sheets, etc.)
Best Ball (aka Four Ball)
Everybody plays their own ball on each hole. The lowest score among the four team members serves as the team score for that hole.
2 Best Balls of 4
Each player plays their own ball, but only the two lowest scores on each hole are used for the team score; those two scores are added together and become the team score for that hole. This format can be played gross (without handicaps) or net (with handicaps.)
Scramble Play
All players tee off and the best drive is chosen. All players then play their second shot from that spot. The best shot following every subsequent stroke is selected, with each team member playing from that spot.
Shamble Play
All players tee off and the best drive is chosen. All players then play their second shot from that spot. Each player plays their own ball from there until holed out. The format is often preferred over a traditional scramble because it ensures a good drive, but allows each player to play their own ball after the drive.
Contests
A fun addition to your event that can be used as additional sponsorship opportunities:
Closest to the Pin
On a par 3, the shot closest to the hole wins. The Bearkat Course can provide the proximity markers.
Longest Drive
On a selected hole the longest drive in the fairway wins. The Bearkat Course can provide the proximity markers.
Determine the Details
Player Count
Player numbers must be communicated (7) seven days in advance. Final participating player list, and pairings must be submitted (3) three days in advance. Additional players will be accommodated as space permits.
For shotgun start, you must have a minimum of 72 players.
Events with more than 110 players may incur outside golf car rental fees of $50 per car per day. Please keep in mind additional golf carts must be ordered at least one month in advance.
Food & Beverages
As determined by your budget and desired level of services you may want to add some special value added compliments to your tournament. Make your event memorable for your participants with amenities such as an on-course beverage cart.
Deposit & Payment
A credit card will serve as your deposit. Payment may be made with credit card or check by the event coordinator. For events with 20 or less golfers, individual payments may be accepted upon arrival of each golfer.
Failure to notify Head Golf Professional of event cancellation prior to (30) calendar days will forfeit payment.
Food and beverages are purchased separately from golf fees.
Starting Times
Starting times are determined by the Golf Professional. Shotgun starts and tee times do not guarantee course exclusivity.
